While the Wisconsin Badgers are currently among the worst football teams in the Big 10, it appears the school excels in another area.

Wisconsin's football team has gotten off to a brutal start, posting a 2-6 record (with a winless mark in conference play) thus far.

However, they are dominating the competition in a different metric: alcohol sales.

According to a piece published by Matt Brown's Extra Points Substack, Wisconsin sold an outrageous $3,088,690 worth of alcohol - and 255,122 units sold - at their home stadium through the first month of the season.

That was by far the most of the 21 schools who responded to Brown's requests for information, with Big 10 rivals Nebraska more than $1million behind at $2,074,806.25.

Several other Big 10 schools appeared on the list, including Minnesota in fifth ($1,038,758.67), Michigan in sixth ($985,266.05), Indiana in seventh ($983,394), Illinois in tenth ($743,690.59) and Michigan State in 11th ($234,016.73).

Wisconsin fans have purchased a ridiculous amount of alcohol at home games this season

It's been a brutal season thus far under head coach Luke Fickell, as the Badgers are just 2-6

The SEC was also represented by Tennessee in third ($1,623,728) and LSU in fourth ($1,446,698).

Incredibly, Wisconsin only introduced alcohol sales at their home football stadium of Camp Randall last year.

However, fans of the famously boozy school have clearly wasted little time making their mark in terms of alcohol sales.

On the field, it's been a sadder state of affairs this season under head coach Luke Fickell.

The Badgers have by far the worst scoring offense in their conference, as they've averaged just 12.5 points per game.

Specifically, a run of just seven points in their last three games before their bye - including home shutouts against Iowa and Ohio State - brought fans' calls for Fickell to be fired to a fever pitch.

The former University of Cincinnati coach has posted just a 15-19 record at Wisconsin since taking over in late 2022.

And things won't get much easier when the Badgers host No. 24 Washington on Saturday.

Including that matchup, Wisconsin fans will have two more chances to add to their school's ridiculous tally of alcohol sales, as the Badgers will also host Illinois on November 22.
