Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor has made the ruthless decision to bench starting cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt.
Taylor-Britt was listed as a healthy scratch for the Bengals' Thursday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In a further blow, the Bengals are also without Trey Hendrickson due to the hip injury he suffered against the Green Bay Packers in Week 6.
Cincinnati come into the game with a 2-4 record after four-straight defeats and with starting quarterback Joe Burrow out for months.
Taylor-Britt came into the NFL season with ambitions of nailing down a place as the Bengals' starting cornerback.
He has started just one of Cincinnati's first five games but has played over 80 per cent of defensive snaps in three of them.

Thursday night´s matchup between the Steelers and Bengals will mark only the third regular-season game between 40-year-old starting quarterbacks as Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco prepare to face off.
Rodgers has helped lead the Steelers to a 4-1 start and first place in the AFC North after leaving the New York Jets earlier this year.
