Arsenal produced a superb performance as they comfortably beat Bayern Munich to maintain their 100 per cent record in this season's Champions League.
Jurrien Timber put the Gunners ahead midway through the first half before Lennart Karl equalised for the visitors 10 minutes later.
Mikel Arteta's men seized control after the break as Noni Madueke restored their lead and Gabriel Martinelli tapped into an open goal to seal a hugely impressive win.

ARSENAL (4-3-3):
David Raya - 6.5
Beaten by Lennart Karl’s strike which whistled past him. Good save on Karl after 56 minutes.
Jurrien Timber - 8.5
An all-round defender who impresses each week. Solid defensively but showed real attacking threat. Capped off with headed goal off a Bukayo Saka corner.
Jurrien Timber headed home Arsenal's opener from a set piece midway through the first half
Declan Rice controlled the midfield and was pivotal in the Gunners' 3-1 victory over Bayern
William Saliba - 6.5
Was expecting a big battle with Harry Kane — but found himself having to keep alert for Bayern counter attacks, and much passing in front of him in the midfield.
Cristhian Mosquera - 7
Slightly out of position for Karl’s goal. After that, showed just why he’s capable to start in such a big game.
Myles Lewis-Skelly - 6
Applied pressure in the final third. Caught out of by Joshua Kimmich’s long pass for Bayern’s opening goal.
Declan Rice - 8
Had to contend with the opposition having much possession in the middle. It made for a stodgy affair but he controlled the opposition well.
Substitute Noni Madueke put Arsenal back in front, converting Riccardo Calafiori's superb cross
Martin Zubimendi - 7.5
Defensively strong in duels, and was also up for the fight aerially, too. Had to be on song with Bayern’s midfield playing so technically.
Eberechi Eze - 6.5
Struck wide on 31 minutes after a give-and-go with Mikel Merino. Should’ve done better. Got more of the ball in second period, and a good assist for Gabriel Martinelli.
Bukayo Saka - 7
His corner for Timber’s goal was right on the money. Often double-teamed by the opposition owing to his threat on the ball. A first-half whack to the nose from the ball saw the winger bleeding.
Mikel Merino - 6
Kept looking for link-up play with his fellow attackers. Some neat dinks caused problems, such as the one for Eze’s chance. Had a clever over the top ball on eight minutes ruled offside. Had at least two headed chances, should’ve scored from one.
Bukayo Saka's delivery was inch-perfect all night, including for Timber's opening goal
Gabriel Martinelli slotted home into an empty net to seal the win on a famous night for Arsenal
Leandro Trossard - 6.5
Kept looking to get through the channels. Went off injured on 38 minutes which will be a concern for Arsenal as he’s been in a rich vein of form lately.
Subs:
Noni Madueke - 7.5
Gabriel Martinelli - 6.5
Riccardo Calafiori - 7
Ben White - N/A
Martin Odegaard - N/A
Manager:
Mikel Arteta - 7.5
A masterclass performance against formidable opposition, and managed to do so with rotation.
BAYERN MUNICH (4-2-3-1):
Manuel Neuer - 5.5
Complained of a foul in build-up to Timber’s goal but had no grounds to. Good save with foot to deny Rice but poor on Martinelli’s goal, rushing out into no man’s land.
Konrad Laimer - 6
Had a tough task marking Saka. Stayed tight to him, conceding some fouls in the process. Struggled keeping pace in second half.
Dayot Upamecano - 6
Lucky not to be sent off for a second rash challenge whilst on a yellow. Physical throughout the match.
Jonathan Tah - 6.5
Positionally on point. Put in good tackles. Got away with some fouls in the process.
Lennart Karl, 17, was Bayern's best performer on a forgettable night for the German giants
Josip Stanisic - 5.5
Static throughout, the game went past him. Struggled to keep up to pace with the match.
Joshua Kimmich - 6.5
Outstanding deep pass in build-up to Karl’s goal. Tidy on the ball. Kept looking to play threatening passes.
Aleksandar Pavlovic - 6
Grew into the game. A tough task with Zubimendi in front of him.
Michael Olise - 6
Showed trickery when he got the ball but struggled to make proper in roads in the final third.
Lennart Karl - 7
The 17-year-old kid is a talent. Looked confident on the ball and took his chance with aplomb, neatly scoring past Raya with a first-time volley. Should’ve done better with a chance after 56 minutes.
Serge Gnabry - 6
Good first-time cross to set up Karl’s goal. Nearly robbed by Saka near the goal.
Harry Kane could not influence the match and cut a frustrated figure with his side well beaten
Harry Kane - 5.5
Starved of the ball in the first half which saw Arsenal’s usual thorn in their side often running back to his own half to get a touch. An unusually quiet game overall.
Subs:
Tom Bischof - 6
Nicolas Jackson - 6
Leon Goretzka - N/A
Raphael Guerreiro - N/A
Kim Min-Jae - N/A
Manager:
Vincent Kompany - 6
His team lost grip of the game in second half. Will be disappointed.
