Alabama star Dre Kirkpatrick Jr has been suspended indefinitely by the Crimson Tide after he was arrested on a number of charges.
The defensive back was detained Saturday on three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of attempting to elude and speeding.
Kirkpatrick - the son of former Alabama and NFL star Dre Kirkpatrick Sr - was released from from Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $1,500 bond.
But head coach Kalen DeBoer confirmed Monday that the sophomore has been disciplined following his arrest.
'Unfortunately, with the information that I have at this time, I talked to Dre, and we need to indefinitely suspend him,' DeBoer said. 'He understands there are consequences that come with his actions.'

Kirkpatrick is a defensive back who has appeared in all eight matches for the Crimson Tide this season, amassing eight tackles and one forced fumble.
He is set to miss this week's showdown between No 4-ranked Alabama and the LSU Tigers at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Kirkpatrick's father, meanwhile, was a cornerback who spent a decade in the NFL. Kirkpatrick Sr played for Alabama from 2009 to 2011 before he was taken in the first round of the NFL draft.
He played for the Bengals, Cardinals and 49ers between 2012 and 2021. His son, a three-star-recruit, followed in his footsteps when he joined Alabama's program last year.
