A young Mariners fan went viral on Sunday after he was captured absolutely burying his face into a bag of popcorn.

Seattle earned a comprehensive 11-4 win against the Oakland A's as Cal Raleigh blasted two home runs.

And one young fan was certainly enjoying himself as TV cameras caught him heartily enjoying his snack after the third inning.

The young fan was seen holding a massive popcorn bag with two hands as he went head-first into eating the snack before coming up for some air.

'That is what it feels like right now to be this Mariners lineup through three innings,' a Mariners broadcaster said on TV, with Seattle holding an 11-1 lead at that point.

Video of the moment has earned over a million views on X and drawn plenty of approving replies from fans.

The fan earned plenty of approving replies from fans online as the Mariners won handily

'this kid gets it,' one wrote.

'This kid is my spirit animal,' another said.

'And a third added: 'Face full of popcorn, his team crushes a rival, not a care in the world or a bill to pay. No one had a better day than this kid right here.'

According to the Mariners' concessions roster, popcorn or kettle corn is available in 14 different sections around T-Mobile Park.

And Seattle also sells a $4.50 jalapeno popcorn on its value menu along with 13 other items.

While the nutritional value for the Mariners' popcorn offerings is unclear, other ballparks have boasted popcorn with an outrageous caloric intake before.

In 2009, Yankee Stadium sold an eye-catching 2,473 calorie popcorn.

A typical movie theater popcorn contains far less calories, though a study of Regal Cinemas' snacks showed that even a small popcorn started at 670 calories.

A fan on the r/baseball Reddit page also warned that the young fan shouldn't have been eating popcorn due to a potential choking hazard.

'DO NOT GIVE POPCORN TO CHILDREN UNDER 4 YEARS OLD. It presents a serious choking hazard,' they wrote.

'Hard to tell how old this kid is, but I'm guessing 3. This is incredibly dangerous. Most parents don't know about it. I'm not trying to be a Debbie downer, I just don't want to read any more stories like this,' they added, linking to a story of a young child being hospitalized and having popcorn removed from his lungs.

All in all, though, it seemed to be a good day for the young fan on Sunday.
