NFL safety Jordan Poyer seems set to retire - but not until he plays out one final season with the Bills, his wife revealed.

Poyer, 34, played in Buffalo from 2017-23 and earned one All-Pro nod while starring for the team.

And after playing for the Dolphins last season, Poyer is returning to the Bills for what his wife, Rachel Bush, called 'one last ride.'

Responding to a report on X that Poyer was re-signing with Buffalo, Rachel wrote: I'm so excited home again home again !!!! One last ride!! Let's go Buffalo!!'

She added a couple of blue and red hearts and also took to her Instagram story as she celebrated her husband signing with Buffalo.

'... LOVE YOU ALL! 'We are so excited to be back!!',' she said. 'Thank you all soo much for all the DMs texts etc etc!!

The couple will hope that the Bills can capture an elusive Super Bowl this season

'I know Jordan is certainly feeling the love,' Rachel continued. It makes my heart so happy to see how much this community and fan base loves and appreciates him.

'I'm sharing all the messages with him he's probably sick of me. 'Anyways see you soooon Buffalo!!''

The 2013 seventh-round pick produced his best years in Buffalo after playing with the Eagles and Browns beforehand.

He was named a first-team All-Pro in 2021 and a Pro Bowler the following year as he established himself as a key defensive piece of a Bills team that became a regular contender.

Last season, he played for the Dolphins and made 16 starts for Miami at free safety as they ultimately finished 8-9.

While the couple were in Buffalo, Bush became a household name due to her outspoken nature, as she proudly voiced her support for Donald Trump and spoke about against the NFL's Covid vaccine policy.

On another occasion, she blasted referees online following a controversial Bills loss to the Eagles in overtime.

Poyer will now re-join the Bills as they gun for a championship yet again.

Buffalo has the second-best record in the league over the past five seasons at 61-22 - behind only the Chiefs - but they've yet to make the Super Bowl in that time as they've fallen to Kansas City in four postseason meetings.

Last season, they endured their latest heartbreaking playoff loss at the hands of Patrick Mahomes and Co. as they lost 32-29 in the AFC Championship Game.

Buffalo will begin this season against the Ravens on September 7.
