Ryan Crow, the Miami Dolphins assistant coach who was charged with domestic battery on Friday, was released from a Florida jail on Saturday afternoon, nearly a week before the start of the NFL season.
Crow, 37, made a court appearance on Saturday morning, with his bond set at $1,000. He is facing one count of touch or strike/battery/domestic violence, per the Broward County Sheriff's office.
A Florida judge mandated that Crow must undergo a substance abuse evaluation in the next 10 days and to stay away from the alleged victim.
He also cannot drink or do drugs as part of the terms of his release.
Miami kicks off its season next Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, with Crow, who oversees the Dolphins' outside linebackers, administrative leave following his arrest.
According to ESPN, an arrest report shows Fort Lauderdale Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance just after midnight on Friday, in the 200 block of South Federal Highway.

The alleged victim was not seriously injured and refused medical treatment while Crow was arrested following an on-scene investigation.
Per a police report, Crow and the alleged victim live together and got into an argument over past relationships.
'We are aware of the serious matter involving Ryan Crow and currently gathering more information,' the Dolphins said in a statement.
'Ryan has been placed on administrative leave effective immediately. We have been in communication with the NFL and will reserve further comment at this time.'
Crow joined Mike McDaniel’s Dolphins staff in 2024 after spending three seasons in the same role with the Tennessee Titans. The Ohio native has coached in the NFL since 2018.
