Popular footy influencer Dan Gorringe has revealed why he has 'beef' with former business partner and fellow podcaster Dylan Buckley.

Both played in the Legends match at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on Thursday night - Gorringe for the All Stars and Buckley for Victoria.

The pair scrapped early on, and many felt it was just two friends having a laugh, keeping the crowd entertained.

But Gorringe - who developed a cult following in AFL circles with Buckley thanks to their podcast List Cloggers - confirmed the two are at loggerheads.

'So a lot of people are asking, is the beef real, is it not?,' he said on Friday.

'It is one of those ones where it's like, I don't really care enough about him (Buckley).

The pair scrapped early on, and many felt it was two friends having a laugh - but Gorringe confirmed they no longer see eye to eye

'It's just all the stuff that's happened between him and I....it felt like as a person who had built something with him, all I want is a bit of respect or an apology for everything that him and his team have done in past business ventures together.

'You (Buckley) know you've shafted me....and (to be honest) I'm OK with being shafted as a former friend.

'(But) as a former friend or at least a business person, I would just expect someone to be like, 'hey, I'm so sorry for all this stuff we did to you.'

'I won't respect him and his team, ever. And for me that's OK, it's a good chapter to close on.'

After going out on his own in 2023, Gorringe - who played 26 games at Gold Coast and Carlton - has become an online sensation.

He has 477,000 Instagram followers on one Instagram page, and close to 250,000 TikTok followers.

In comparison, Buckley has just over 76,000 Instagram followers - but both men regularly produce engaging content leaving footy fans wanting more.

Last year, Buckley stated he wishes Gorringe 'nothing but the best' and was adamant the decision to part ways was due purely to timing.

Meanwhile, SEN owner Craig Hutchison has no doubt Gorringe's profile will continue to rise.

'Daniel had more impact on the (Legend's) game than anyone,' he said on his podcast The Sounding Board this week.

'I could mount a case that Daniel Gorringe is inside the top 10 most influential people in football right now.'
