The Giants could hand Jaxson Dart his debut in their season opener against the Commanders on Sunday - despite naming Russell Wilson the starting quarterback.
The rookie passer had an extremely strong preseason for Big Blue, tallying 372 passing yards and three touchdowns before earning the No. 2 job ahead of Jameis Winston.
And according to a report from NFL Network, the Giants have prepared a package of plays for Dart in their gameplan against Washington.
The report added that Dart is not guaranteed to see the field, and whether or not he makes his first regular season appearance will depend on the performance of Wilson as well as 'game flow' and 'situational strategy.'
Nonetheless, it's certainly a sign of the confidence head coach Brian Daboll has in Dart, 22.
The Giants traded back into the first round to select Dart at 25th overall in this year's draft, and the former Ole Miss star has impressed thoroughly thus far.

Dart played turnover-free football in preseason games against the Bills, Jets and Patriots, including a stellar 14-of-16 passing performance against New York.
And Daboll has been complimentary of the young passer.
'Being a rookie quarterback is not easy - being a quarterback is not easy - so he knows he's got a lot of things to work on, but he's made progress every day and I'm glad we drafted him,' he said last month. 'I'm glad he's our guy.'
In addition to drafting Dart, the Giants massively transformed their quarterback room this offseason, signing veterans Wilson and Winston to short-term deals.
Wilson, 36, will be counted on to improve the Giants' passing game after a somewhat successful stint with the Steelers last year.
After missing the first six games of the season through injury, Wilson returned to average over 225 passing yards per contest and throw 16 touchdowns against just five interceptions.
He led the Steelers to the playoffs but they lost in the wild card round to the Ravens.
