Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce let his frustration boil over in Brazil after confronting teammate Jawaan Taylor after yet another mistake from the right tackle.

Taylor, who was flagged multiple times during the Chiefs’ season-opening clash with the Chargers in Sao Paulo, finally pushed Kelce over the edge late in the third quarter.

TV cameras caught the tight end confronting his offensive line teammate - and delivering a helmet-to-helmet shove in clear frustration.

The bizarre moment came as Kansas City struggled for rhythm and discipline in their first game of the 2025 NFL season - losing 27-21 in the end.

Kelce hasn’t had the best night himself. He was limited to just one catch for 10 yards during the early stages of the game, and was also involved in a freak collision with rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy on the Chiefs’ first offensive drive.

Worthy was running an under route on a pass play during the game at Arena Corinthians and was not looking when he collided with Kelce in the middle of the field.

After slowly getting up, Worthy was seen walking to the locker room with trainers as he had a towel draped over his head. He was examined with X-Rays before being officially listed as out for the rest of the game.

Following the game, Chiefs coach Andy Reid did not have any further updates on Worthy, but said that the receiver would undergo an MRI upon returning to Kansas City.

Losing Worthy would be a devastating blow to a Chiefs receiving corps which is already missing its top target.

Wideout Rashee Rice is not suited up for Kansas City as he is serving a six-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

It’s an uncharacteristically messy start for the defending Super Bowl champions - and for Kelce, who’s known more for leadership than sideline scuffles.

But with Patrick Mahomes and the offense sputtering, and Taylor continuing to rack up penalties, it seems even the ever-reliable Kelce had reached his breaking point.

Kelce, meanwhile, escaped unhurt after being smacked by Los Angeles Chargers giant Teair Tart as tensions threatened to spill over during Friday's NFL game in Brazil.

During the third quarter in Sao Paulo, Kelce was struck in the face by LA's Teair Tart

Kelce and Tart came to blows after the Chiefs tight end was blocking on a drive for his team that would end with a Patrick Mahomes touchdown.

But Tart seemed to take exception with how hard Kelce was pushing him. When he let go, Tart stared back at Kelce before slapping him across the helmet with an open palm.

It was that which saved Tart, a 6ft 2inch, 315lbs defensive tackle, from being ejected from the game. Had it been a clenched fist, the rules would have forced the referees to remove him.

And how lucky he and his team were that the punishment was not greater - Tart would later make a huge intervention to protect the Chargers' lead on their way to winning the game.
