A former New England Patriots captain has sold his Massachusetts mansion following his retirement from the NFL a couple of months ago.

Center David Andrews hung up his cleats on June 2 following a 10-year career in pro football, in which he served as a Patriots for eight years and won two Super Bowls.

And following that decision, Andrews has opted for another big change as he and his wife Mackenzie sold their home for $1.75million.

The home in Norton, MA - which is roughly 15 miles away from the Patriots' Gillette Stadium in Foxborough - features four bedrooms, four full bathrooms (and one half bathroom) and a beautifully landscaped backyard with an in-ground pool.

The property sits on 4.3 acres of land and also includes a wood-burning fireplace in the backyard.

It was sold by The Sarkis Team of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.

While Andrews and his family are moving, it is said that they will be remaining in the New England area.

It was recently announced that he and former teammate Brian Hoyer's 'Quick Snap' podcast was becoming part of NBC Sports Boston's network.

Andrews, 33, married his wife Mackenzie in 2017 following his third season in the NFL.

The pair share sons Ford and Worth together.

After going undrafted out of Georgia in 2015, Andrews established himself as a key piece of the Patriots' offensive line for years to come, racking up 121 starts and protecting Tom Brady for four seasons.

Andrews was a starter on the franchise's championship-winning squads in Super Bowl LI and LII.

In delivering his retirement speech in June, he explained how he ultimately grew connected to the Boston area.

'We grew to love it,' Andrews said. 'We love Boston, the beaches … it became our home. This is home now.'

During the emotional press conference, he added: 'As you can see, there's a lot of emotions.

'The one that kept sticking out to me was gratitude. When I look back on the 26 years I've been blessed to play this game, that's really all I could think about. Especially playing O-line since I was 6 years old, you learn very quickly that it's not about you, it's about the team.

'For my whole career, I've been surrounded by the best team anyone could ask for. So today, I'd like to show my gratitude to those who sacrificed and helped me.'

The Patriots begin their regular season on September 7 against the Raiders.
