Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler is now facing a civil lawsuit from the man he hit during his 2024 DUI crash, just days after being sentenced to four days in jail.
The 42-year-old was arrested in October 2024 after he rear-ended the driver in front of him while allegedly driving intoxicated on the outskirts of Nashville, Tennessee.
On Tuesday, Cutler, who was formerly married to Kristin Cavallari, pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor DUI in a Tennessee courtroom, according to TMZ.
The former quarterback was then sentenced to four days in jail, which he will reportedly begin serving at the end of the month.
Now, Perry Lee, the driver of the vehicle Cutler rear-ended last October, has filed a civil lawsuit against the former NFL star, according to the New York Post.
According to the filing, Lee alleges that Cutler was 'at fault for the collision' and 'failed to use reasonable and due care in the operation of the vehicle he was driving.'

Cutler, who was allegedly intoxicated at the time, had rear-ended Lee's blue GMC with his Dodge Ram truck and allegedly tried to flee the scene.
He then allegedly offered Lee $2,000 not to call police.
Lee claims the crash left him with medical bills, physical and mental suffering, and a diminished quality of life.
The lawsuit claims that he also suffered 'lost wages, loss of earning capacity, or other out-of-pocket expenses.' He is seeking damages 'in excess of $25,000'.
'Our client is a veteran who was injured in a car crash due to the alleged negligence of another driver,' his attorneys said in a statement.
'His injuries from the crash cause him daily pain and have eroded his quality of life. We are seeking justice for him so he can get the care he needs and try to move forward with his life.'
Cutler, 42, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DUI on August 26 after reaching a plea deal with prosecutors.
He will report to jail on September 29 and must also pay a $350 fine, attend DUI safety classes, and serve one year of unsupervised probation. His Tennessee driver's license has been revoked.

Police say they noticed a strong odor of alcohol during their conversation with Cutler, who reportedly had blood shot eyes and was slurring his words.
Cutler refused a field sobriety test and was taken to a hospital, where a blood sample was obtained through a blood search warrant, according to authorities.
Cutler initially told police that he hadn't consumed alcohol before allegedly later admitting to having had 'a little bit'.
Cutler also faced a charge of possession of a handgun-under the influence after a rifle and a loaded glock were found in his vehicle. However, prosecutors dismissed the weapon possession charge after he forfeited the firearm.
