The thing about heartbreak is, everything you see reminds you of them.
But our exclusive photos of Channel Nine sports presenter Danika Mason hitting the beach with her rugby league star boyfriend Liam Knight prove there's truth to the old saying 'time heals all wounds'.
Mason, 34, whose star has risen significantly this year with her promotion to the Today show, looked sensational in a lavender bikini as we spotted her and Knight enjoying the rare good weather on Sunday.
They were sunning it up on the rocks at Gordons Bay, in Sydney's eastern suburbs - the same secluded cove where, in July 2021, Mason posed with her ex-fiancé Todd Liubinskas to announce their engagement.
That engagement ended in catastrophe in September 2023 when they suddenly split up - for reasons still unknown - just weeks before their planned wedding.
'When someone hurts you like that, you experience all the emotions from sadness to shock to anger,' Mason said in an interview earlier this year, in which she revealed that a breakdown in trust had caused the split - without going into details.

The aftermath of the separation was tabloid fodder for weeks, amid reports that while Mason kept their $1.5million home in Maroubra, Liubinskas had asked her to give back the engagement ring because it was a family heirloom.
Now - four years on from Liubinskas popping the question, and almost two years since the break-up - Gordons Bay clearly holds no bittersweet memories for Mason.
Meanwhile, despite being a sideline eye, Mason clearly knows a thing or two about keeping her own body in prime athletic shape.
She looked trim and toned in her bikini - the result of her strenuous training sessions she is known to share glimpses of with her Instagram followers.
She recently posted that she put '17km in the bank' as part of her 'Saturday morning ritual' run, and she also works out in her home gym with weights and an assault bike.
As for her boyfriend Knight, the former Souths and Manly star also showed he was progressing well after suffering an ankle injury while playing in England recently.
He had a moon boot on his left leg when he and Mason were first reunited in Sydney late last month, but had no issues with removing it while sunbathing at Gordons Bay.
The couple are separated by about 17,000 kilometres as Knight plays for Hull FC in England's Super League, but they have been able to catch up on a few occasions in the last several weeks.

In late June, they had a romantic getaway in Singapore, just after Knight re-signed with the team for another 12 months.
Mason uploaded an image from the ritzy Tanjong Beach Club with the accompanying caption: 'Out of office'.
Hours later she posted another Instagram Story that featured a cosy couple shot.
Then it was the footy star's turn to publicly declare his love for Mason.
In a gushing message, Knight also posted several snaps featuring the couple travelling abroad together.
'Happy birthday to my best friend,' the front-rower wrote.
'I love doing life with you. Many more adventures to come.'

With Knight's season over after he had surgery on the stress fracture in his ankle, he was able to jet down to Sydney, where he and Mason had lunch at a trendy Double Bay cafe in late August.
On that occasion, they were all smiles as they both stepped out in black activewear.
Mason and Knight went public with their relationship in 2024, with the Nine star making their romance Instagram official just months after ditching Liubinskas.
As Mason found comfort with Knight, the league star took to social media to share a snap of them embracing, alongside the text: 'My life's good.' Mason later reposted it.
The NRL finals start this Friday night, meaning Mason is nearing the end of what has been an incredibly busy period at work.
In addition to reading the sport news on Today five mornings a week, she often backs up to act as Nine's roving reporter during NRL clashes on Thursday and Friday nights, making for very long and taxing days.
Footy match broadcasts finish at around 10.30pm, and Today stars usually need to be up and on the ball at around 3am.

When Mason finally got a break from her footy duties in October last year, after the NRL grand final, she enjoyed a long and luxurious European break with Knight.
Mason flew to London to spend some time with her beau, before they also travelled to Rome and Paris.
After spending one week in the French capital, the couple travelled to Rome as guests of former NRL star Sam Burgess at his extravagant wedding to Lucy Graham.
Mason wore black to the ceremony, showing off her incredible figure in a tight strapless gown paired with matching black opera gloves and designer shades.
Meanwhile, Knight looked dapper in a beige tuxedo jacket, black trousers and a black bow-tie.
