Arch Manning has already paid the price for his underwhelming Texas Longhorns performance on Saturday.
The season opener against Ohio State was supposed to be the day Manning put his stamp on the Longhorns and show why they are the No. 1 ranked team in the country.
Instead the quarterback, who hails from NFL royalty, looked completely overwhelmed as the national champion Buckeyes beat Texas 14-7 in Columbus.
As a result of the disappointing performance, Manning's odds of being taken with the No. 1 overall pick in next year's NFL draft have already plummeted.
He was the favorite before the game and, as a result, a number of NFL executives and scouts were in attendance to watch.
But now there are two new joint favorites to be taken first in April. They are Penn State quarterback Drew Allar and LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, who have +350 odds at DraftKings.

Nussmeier went 28-for-38 for 230 yards with a touchdown and zero interceptions as LSU beat No. 4 Clemson 17-10 on Saturday.
Allar also impressed by going 22-for-26 and 217 yards with a touchdown and zero interceptions as Penn State picked up a dominant 46-11 win against Nevada. They were so comfortable that Allar didn’t play in the fourth quarter.
Manning, meanwhile, completed 17 of 30 passes for 170 yards, a touchdown and an interception for the Longhorns on a troubling day.
His performance was so unimpressive that Manning now has the fifth-best odds to be the first overall pick at +700.
South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers is at +500 to go first overall while Clemson QB Cade Klubnik, who lost to LSU, is at +550.
Manning, the nephew of Super Bowl winners Eli and Peyton and the grandson of Archie, was shut out by Ohio State's impressive defense until the fourth quarter at The Shoe.
He had racked up just 38 passing yards through three quarters, having completed only nine of his 15 passes.

Manning was also denied at the goal line on a Tush Push attempt to convert the Longhorns’ best drive of the afternoon midway through the third quarter as they trailed 7-0.
That 70-yard drive included just three throws from Manning, but they were all short and didn't surpass nine yards.
Manning was quickly brought crashing back down to earth after that drive when, trying a deep pass, he was intercepted by the Buckeyes’ Jermaine Mathews Jr.
Ohio State would go on to turn that interception into a touchdown to extend their lead to 14-0.
Manning was almost picked off again early in the fourth quarter but the referees eventually determined it to be an incomplete pass. He eventually threw a touchdown, connecting with Parker Livingstone for a 32-yard score.
